HUMAN NAMED AFTER THEMSELVES
THE GOD: THE ANTHROPOCENE
The Anthropocene reflects criticism and sarcasm regarding the hubris of human nature. Although man is born as a part of nature, we have discovered a distinct and independent way to survive—this method supports human development, evolution, and social progress. Human growth and societal development have been achieved through the practice of ‘specimen storage.’ Whether it’s food or material, we invent or discover something, take a sample, and thus create a society in which we live. However, as society advances, nature faces extinction. Arrogant and foolish, humans attempt to mimic and clone nature, defying the natural order as if they were gods. What would it look like if we created nature? Drawing on the five oriental elements that make up the earth—fire, water, wood, metal, and soil—this concept expresses preserved artificial nature.
